Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez has been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball for failing a drug test and testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.
The suspension, unpaid by league stipulations, will cost Manny 7.7 Million dollars, and is effective immediately. He will not be eligible for return until July 3.
Manny was batting .348 with 6 home runs for the Dodgers this season, who are undefeated at home.
Expectations are that he will cite taking medication under a Doctors supervision for an illness as the cause, but the suspension stands. No information available at this time.
