Will Teemu Selanne play in 2012?

Ducks: I'm Sorry, It's All My Fault...

I've lamented for some time now that it's hard for me to emotionally switch from Baseball to Hockey and vice versa at the end of their respective post-seasons. This is significantly effected by how deep each team (Ducks/Angels) go in their playoff runs.

That said, this year I've been sort of on the periphery of Hockey fandom. I check scores from time to time, and watch in passing, but I haven't been able to emotionally check in to the season yet.

The Ducks slow start has compounded things for me.

Well, last night, I made the decision to committ to the season.

I turned on the game as soon as I got home, and the team was down 1-0 to the visiting Calgary Flames. Literally within 2 minutes of tuning in, the Ducks scored, a brilliant rebound by Bobby Ryan, to tie the game.

Less than two minutes later, the Ryan Getzlaf added another for a quick shift in momentum and a 2-1 lead.

I watched the rest of the game.

With two minutes left, I decided to run and get the mail and do some quick household chores.

I returned to the game going into overtime.

I stuck my butt back on the couch, and the Ducks pulled it out in the shoot out on Selanne's shuffle step move against Kiprusoff.

It's all my fault.

This slow start? It's me.

Dear Ducks (and fans!): I am committed, and I will not fail you again.

Expect a sharp turn around for this Ducks team, and expect it to start now.

Btw, is it just me or do Wiz and Whitney look GREAT on D at the blue line last night? (I'm speaking of course of the OFFENSIVE blue line). They're starting to know each other pretty well.
